From the Meiji period to the early Showa period, when Western culture began to enter Japan, many modern designs were used as illustrations for magazines and books. Illustration reference books were also published showcasing design collections of Art Nouveau-style plants, decorative frames, birds and fruit. This book contains 100 of the best designs from this period, carefully selected and made into appealing retro patterns.
